50% MBBS seats vacant due to new law

The Supreme Court had ordered the adoption of a new centralized counseling system for admission in medical from this year. The impact of this system has had a huge impact on all the major universities and private MBBS SEATS colleges in the country. It is reported that under this new law, large number of undergraduate medical seats are vacant. Even after the third phase of counseling is over, 50 percent of seats in MBBS and 85 percent of BDS seats are vacant in many institutes.

The process of admission will run until August 31. According to information from sources, about 15 per cent of all India quota seats in government colleges have remained vacant till now. Although the seats of these government institutions will be transferred to the states, thereby giving an opportunity to fill the vacant seats.
